AFTER YOUR RETURN
Overview
After your return home there are a series of steps to take to maximize the federal hiring advantages you gained when you completed your Fellowship. It's also time to learn more about the service requirement.
- Update your information at NSEPNET at least twelve (12) months before you expect to receive your degree.
- Review the opportunities and responsibilities that go along with the NSEP service requirement.
If you completed your Boren Fellowship before the 2005-6 academic year, the rules for your service are completely different than they are now. You can download the pre-2005 Service Requirement in pdf format for details.
To continue advanced language study in Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Persian, Russian, Hindi or Central Asian languages you may want to investigate the National Flagship Language Program (NFLP), another NSEP initiative.
